Pottery hand-building:

This is an introduction workshop to making pottery. Pinching and coiling techniques will be used to make a dip bowl and a soup bowl. The pieces will be glazed and fired within 2 weeks, to be collected from the Mill Cove Gallery or posted at an extra charge.

 

Marjorie studied Fine Art at the Crawford School of Art in Cork. She grew up in Waterford City and has lived in the Kerry countryside for forty years. During these years, she has taught art with the Kerry Education and Training Board, produced studio pottery and completed commissions and exhibitions in Sculpture and Drawing.

She works with many different materials but ultimately enjoys complementing wood and clay in her sculpture.
