Introduction to Marquetry: Hands-On Veneer Techniques

Learn the basics in geometric marquetry, using scalpels, cutting various species and colours of thin wood veneers to create a small piece to take home. Adrian will discuss the history of veneers and their used throughout furniture design and how they are applied in his own work.

Adrian is an inspired furniture designer and maker renowned for his refined craftsmanship and deep reverence for nature’s beauty. Adrian has honed his skills as both a creator and a restorer, with an extensive knowledge of antique furniture conservation & restoration while seamlessly blending contemporary design pieces with organic forms found in the natural world.
