Trains: A Poetry Workshop
Trains have long since been a source of fascination and inspiration for writers and creatives. A train journey can serve as a metaphor for life’s journey or as a powerful symbol of class, adventure or transformation. In this generative workshop we will use visual images, folk stories and touchstone poems to inspire us towards the production of new work.
Eileen Sheehan is from County Kerry. One of the poems from her most recent collection, The Narrow Way of Souls (Salmon Poetry), featured on the Leaving Certificate English Syllabus. She has read at festival in Ireland and abroad and was Bealtaine Writer in Residence at Kerry Writers' Museum.
